Today: nothing. Course Choice earns no money from anyone. No provider pays to be listed, to be featured, or to receive enquiries.
Why we publish this before we earn anything
Most course comparison sites in Australia are paid by the providers they list, per enquiry. That is why they show no fees: the price is the thing you get after you hand over your phone number. We think you should know how a comparison site is paid before you trust it, so this page exists from day one and will be updated before any money changes hands.
What will never change
- Ranking is never for sale. No payment moves a provider up a list or into a result it would not otherwise appear in.
- Students never pay. The comparison is free and ungated.
- We do not sell leads. We will not collect your details on a provider’s behalf or pass them to a sales team.
- Every provider on the register is listed, whether or not it ever pays us anything. See Who we compare.
How we might make money later
These are the doors we are keeping open. None is in use today.
- Fee and demand intelligence for providers. Aggregated, anonymous reports on what qualifications people search for, compare and in which locations, and how published fees are moving across the market. This never includes anything about an individual visitor.
- A flat, disclosed routing fee if we ever add a way to contact a provider from the site. It would be the same amount for every provider, stated here, and it would not affect where anyone appears.
- Labelled placements that are clearly marked as paid and can always be sorted away to a clean view.
If any of these switch on, this page will say so, with the date it changed.
